Share a match between two Apple Watches

Two players can keep the same score on two watches. One taps Share match and reads out the six-character code; the other goes to Settings > Join a match and types it. Both watches can then score and undo, and the changes merge every few seconds.

Share your match

  1. During the match, swipe right to the Sets page and scroll down, or tap the gear and open the Match tab.
  2. Tap Share match.
  3. Read the code under Shared to the other player.

Join from the other watch

  1. On Home, tap Settings, then Join a match at the top.
  2. Type the code and tap the check.
  3. Under Which one are you?, tap your name.

The match opens as if it had started on this watch, with your own workout and your own History. "No match with that code." means a typo or a match that is no longer shared.

While you share

  • Both watches score and undo. The changes merge every few seconds.
  • Only the watch that shared asks the serving questions.
  • Stop sharing on the watch that shared ends it and deletes the code. Leave on the other watch just disconnects.
  • Tapping Done at the end of the match stops sharing too.

Sharing goes through Apple's iCloud, so both watches need an internet connection. Only the names and the score are shared, never health data.

Note: Sharing is part of Pro, on both watches.
